Response to Intervention Tiers and Common Core State Standards–Putting it All Together
This session will provide a very brief overview of the Response to Intervention tiered system and how one middle school team, with district support, is working toward incorporating the Common Core State Standards into their RtI system. This session will share the internal steps toward implementation starting with consensus building, collaboration and master scheduling to teacher training and improved student academic progress. Teams should bring master schedules, training schedules for 2012-13 school year, faculty meeting schedules, student assessment plans, how the three tiers system is currently working in your school, and any other information that will enable the teams to leave with a strategic, multi-year plan for implementation of a tiered instructional system using the Common Core State Standards.
