Cost of textbooks

Follow the link to an astounding picture. Since 1975, the cost of college textbooks has grown 800%- way faster that the cost of health care. This is driving many in higher education to participate in the open education resource movement and look to create their own textbooks  

I expect that idea will gain momentum in K-12 as well. At least I hope it does.
